About Rewardata

I have spent the better part of my career working at the intersection of technology and human resources. Over the years I have seen first-hand how difficult it is for companies — especially those operating across borders — to find reliable, comparable data on compensation, taxation, social security, and labor regulation. The information exists, but it is scattered across dozens of official sources, published in different formats, and rarely easy to combine.

That fragmentation is what led to the creation of Rewardata. The platform brings together data from the OECD, World Bank, ILO, Eurostat, IMF, and many other authoritative sources into a single, structured API. The goal is straightforward: make it easy for HR professionals, consultants, researchers, and developers to access the numbers they need without spending hours chasing spreadsheets across different websites.

Rewardata is not a benchmarking service — we do not collect company-reported salary surveys (for that, firms like Mercer, WTW, Aon, and Korn Ferry remain the right choice). What we provide is the statutory and statistical layer underneath: minimum wages, tax wedges, employer social security contributions, pension rules, parental leave entitlements, working hours, price levels, and hundreds of other data points that form the context in which compensation decisions are made.

Today the platform covers over 200 countries, 550+ data fields, and 45+ official sources — all accessible through a clean REST API or through the interactive explorer on this site. The data is refreshed regularly, normalised into a consistent schema, and enriched with metadata so you always know where a number comes from and how recent it is.
